The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it can be alarmed regarding the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The company issue established for intervention ordeals a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to here all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all consumers and improve usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
